On behalf of the Southern California High School Soccer Coaches Association, I want to take this opportunity to welcome you to the 2014–2015 soccer season. As you prepare for your upcoming season, we would like to invite you to join the most active coaches association in the CIF Southern Section.
What are the advantages of joining the association?
• This association represents the interests of over 800 boys and girls coaches in the sport of soccer.
• The association plays an important role in keeping the membership informed about what is happening at the CIF, division and league levels. Game results, league standings and individual player statistics are available on our coaches’ website www.socalsoccer.org.
• The association has input into the weekly top 10 polls, playoff pairings and selection of the All-CIF teams.
• The association sponsors senior All-Star games for athletes of member coaches who have been selected to the various All-CIF teams or deserve that honor due to their outstanding performances for their schools at no cost to the All-Star participants.
• The association offers scholarships to a deserving male and female student athlete in each division.
• The association serves its members as a strong voice in support of the game we love when issues arise concerning our sport.
The association is always looking for enthusiastic, positive coaches to serve on our board. We hope that you will become involved.

We would also like to acknowledge and share that after 12 years as the President of our Association and 26 plus years in education and coaching, Steve Rappaport has started his well earned retirement. He has built this association from a weekly mailing through the post office to this website. We have continually ran the Senior All-Star Showcase throughout his tenure and added annual scholarships for deserving seniors. Thank you Steve.
