SCA Membership Information

Membership Benefits

The Southern California High School Soccer Coaches Association plays an important part with the organizations that influence the sport of high school soccer (e.g. Officials, CIF, rules changes, etc.). The Association is the conduit that keeps the membership informed about what is happening at the CIF-SS, division and league levels. Some of the other key benefits of joining the Association include:

  • Have input into the weekly top 10 polls, playoff pairings and selection of All-CIF Southern Section teams.
  • The Association offers several scholarships to student athletes for their academic and athletic success.
  • Senior athletes of member coaches are eligible for All-Star Games. The All-Star Game is be held each Spring.

CIF Southern Section Division 7 covers the boys in the Academy, Arrowhead, Camino Real, Delphic, Free-Lance, Freedom, Frontier, High Desert, Mulholland, Mulholland, Omega, San Joaquin and Victory Leagues and the girls in the Camino Real, Condor, Delphic, Free-Lance, Freelance, Harbor, Horizon, Mission Valley, Montview, San Joaquin and Santa Cruz Leagues.

 

WOMEN'S DIVISION 7 RANKINGS AS OF 2/14

3. ST GENEVIEVE- 8-0 league, 16 league points, .96% win percent overall, significant tie to Grace Brethren (div.6), of their overall 13 wins 9 are shut-outs, significant win over Vasquez (finalist of 2008-2009, now Div.6)

Division 7 Boys 2/7

Super Bowl Weekend: Top 10

Division 7 Boys (Week of 2/1-2/6):

First- Please call any fellow D7 coaches and get them to input scores or forward them to you to input.  We desperately need more information to make our top 10  as accurate as possible.

 Here is the breakdown for the top 10 this week- (many games to replayed from the past two weeks)

  • Bishop Union is remains at #1 w/ 12-4-1
  • Avalon steady at #2 (5-2-0)
  • Mammoth has a big league match on 2/11 versus B.U. a win there could move them up into the top 2 and beat Rosamond on 1/30 (reported too late for last week’s poll) making it 2 wins over defending Div 7 CIF Champs.
  • St. Margaret’s stays in first of the strong Academy league.
  • Saddleback Valley Christian is currently tied at the top of the San Joaquin League.
  • Santa Clara still in first in the Frontier league- but has no updated scores since 1/14.
  • Rosamond –third league loss to Mammoth 1/30 in the tough High Desert
  • Sage Hill still riding their 2-0 league win over St. Margret’s.
  • La Sierra Academy has not lost in the Arrowhead league and only one reported loss
  • Bloomington Christian one game behind La Sierra in the Arrowhead league
  • Serra beat Mary Star of the Sea in league play on 2/1
  • Whitney recent win over Sage 
  • OTHERS to watch: Mary Star of the Sea (lost to Serra), TV’T (sitting a the top of San Joaquin with Saddleback Valley Christian)
